We went this time last year and had a blast. After dark there was no one in the parks. Walk up rides all evening.

We're thinking of going back Mardi Gras 2017. Has anyone purchased unused Vacation Club points to stay in a DVC room? I was looking at the Polynesian DVC bungalows.

Yikes

That's gonna be a lot of points.

I know. But it seems to still come out cheaper than individual rooms.

A bungalow? For how many people/rooms?

I mistyped. I meant one of the DVC studios at the Polynesian, not the bungalow.

Ah, OK. Makes a LOT more sense. We actually just stayed in a Deluxe Studio Villa at the Poly. LOVED it. It was perfect for my family - 2 adults, 3 year old and 10 month old. I'm not sure how much it would cost by renting points, but we got ours at a discount through Disney. It was part of their annual spring discounted room rates.

I do know that DVC point rentals are VERY common. So I would be comfortable doing that myself.

These are WAY too expensive for me.

This is still pretty nice.

I checked one of the points rental sites, and a 7 night stay was around $2700 in one of the studios. A 7 night stay in a regular Poly room came out to around $3800. I just know very little about the points rental process and how legit it is.

Register an account on disboards.com and check out the DVC rental forum. You can find renters there cheaper than the sites. Ask for references.

I rented points 2 years ago to stay at Bay Lake Towers and loved it! Cheaper than renting as a hotel room and since I was staying on points, we had access to the lounge on the top floor to watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom! By far the most legit place to see the fireworks show!

There are several stickied posts to help you with the point rental process.

The quince trips were there in Magic Kingdom and Epcot when we were, but they were honestly surprisingly well behaved. Maybe the freezing weather kept them in check.

Even if not Spain or Brazil they could do a Korean or Greek or something area. I would just like to see a new showcase.

Animal Kingdom was super crowded today. Still felt like the second best park to me right now with Epcot being a pretty close third (as I said having Soarin and Maelstorm down really hurts Epcot at the moment). The theming is just fantastic and Expedition Everest was really fun, same for the safari. Dinosaur was a solid once a trip thing for me. The treks were really great and the food was good. Really excited to come
Back when all their construction is done and Kali is back open.

I like Flame Tree BBQ and Yak & Yeti (inside or outside). Also there's a new section in Africa called the Harambe Marketplace that has 4 or so windows with different foods. I got a curry corndog that was pretty long (insert your favorite gay joke here). It was a bit dry but nothing a little mustard couldn't fix.

Flame Tree was where we ate. Solid ribs and pork. We also got some falafel in Asia that was good.

I've also heard that Tusker House in Africa is very good for breakfast, but I haven't personally done that.

If you have picky eaters, it's tough. Rainforest Cafe outside the main entrance there isn't bad for that.

Restarantosaurus is good if you need to go the burger/chicken nugget/hot dog route.

I feel like MK may actually be the hardest park to find food at unless you have reservations. Nothing there has really impressed me.

One quick tip, make 8:30-9:15 reservations at Be Our Guest in MK. You can get early entrance to the park and be back at Ariel/Seven Dwarves/Peter Pan when the rides open.

Getting totally redone. It will not be pizza planet when they are done. Pizza Planet will reopen in Toy Story when it's complete, still going back and forth of it will be a quick service food only or if they will add an arcade inside.

Not a CM but I do contract work for the HR department durning peak seasons and college intern interviews. We're working out of trailers right now until the new building is complete by MK.
