The rain effed me hard at Animal Kingdom today. That's got to be the worst place on Disney for a rainy day.

Some of those attractions are in the area where the new sections are going to be built.

I was one of the last people on Catastrophe Canyon. Going to miss that, but if the new sections are good, I'll be satisfied.

I figure I'll keep going there every few years till they ban me for running over people in my hover round.

I got one lady last time that stepped in front of me....good times

Really, none of that stuff they're getting rid of was very good except Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. Studio Catering was a pretty good place to eat but certainly not irreplaceable. (Disclaimer - I've never seen Osborne's Family Lights so I don't know about that one).

Don't hold your breath for Indy .. It will also get closed, but not until later next year when they start building Star Wars and finish the new park entrance on that side.

Toy story shouldn't take long to build.. most of the rides are new lay overs from the Cars area in Disneyland. They are already working on that area. Should open late 2017 if everything goes as planned.

The biggest question is what are they going to put in the Lights Motor Action area. This area has not been announced yet.. Rumors are it will be a full Pixar area with a Monsters Inc roller coaster that will mimic the door scene at the end of the movie.

Hollywood studios was fricked from the beginning.

The layout is absolutely terrible. What made it a serviceable park has been gone for years. It's not a studio anymore. There's no nostalgia or coherent function left. It's a "good ride" over here and "good ride" over there and "oh. Here's the muppets" or "here's star tours". And "what time does fantasmic start again?"

This makeover is big and essential. But others are right. Until it's complete, it's just a half day park and has been for years. Twighlight zone, RRC, and Toy Story can't carry an entire park. Sure, Indian jones and The stunt show killed time, but they haven't been updated since they were introduced. Stale and, honestly, boring.

Toy story land is even a little bit of a let down. They need to go full on Pixar. Star Wars is a great addition but I hope they have plans to expand it beyond their initial plans or they'll be wasting a huge opportunity.

Spent a half day there last year and went back to MK. Just not a TON of stuff to do there with small kids.

Star Wars and Toy Story Mania FTW

I agree it's a half day park. But what was announced already is just phase 1. The park will be receiving an extreme makeover of the next 8 yrs. the only things safe are RRC and TOT, almost everything else will be bull dozed and rebuilt. They are are going to rebrand the park as well. Internally we are calling it Hollywood Adventures.. This is why the Big arse hat and the earful tower have already been removed. Stay tune for me info to come. Should be ready for another major announcement before the end of the year.

I'm following closely. I was there as the hat was removed. And I know Toy Story land is just one piece of that area. LMA has to go and that's a ton of real estate. Not to mention that they're expanding out into the parking lot for Star Wars.

The whole place will have a brand new feel to it. It's exciting. And I trust Lassiter.

Went in early Dec. a cast member told me there would be Star Wars land and Pixar land. It's kind of insane that they only have that one little street devoted to Pixar. Osborne light are closing because they are tearing down New York street.

This is good news. Hollywood Studios is stagnant. Those are 2 of disneys biggest IPs.

What I want to know is how long Disney lets Universal keep the lease on the Marvel IP.

FWIW, given what I saw on my visit and experience in construction, I would say that a summer/fall opening of this attraction is accurate. Frozen land should open in Epcot too

Then why click on the thread? More importantly, why feel the need to actually post in the thread? Do you think anyone in here discussing the thread about Disney actually give a shite?

I thought everyone basically went there for Rock n roller coaster and tower of terror anyway, those are the best attractions in that park.
