LG Washer help - paging napoleon

Had this same problem. Stop the washer. Does the tub shake if you manually try and do it? If yes, it's the tub itself. If not, the washer comes with 4 shipping bolts on the back side. Remove those then see if the problem persists.

So many things cause these issues.
Is it on the second floor of your house?

Is it a front load?
I'm assuming top load as you said you changed the springs.

I'm trying to think off you have a water counter balance or not.
When you shake your tub to you hear water (it's a good thing, a ring of water in plastic acts as a counter balance in pretty much every top load machine.


If it walks, and is level, has new springs and worked fine for years and isn't on a soft floor, then it's a counter balance issue.
If it's a front loader doing this, likely it's a bearing or detachment of drum issue and it's kaput.

Front load

Called around and talked to a few repair guys and they said it's not worth it. Ordered a top load and should be in tomorrow.

top load machines it's the springs or the bearing. The Cabrio line it's almost always the bearing and with Korean units it's always the springs, well mostly if not always.

Samsung is the worst, they sent servicers info sheets on known issues, and in the washers it's like.
" if off balance, replace the springs, but not with stock springs but upgraded units"

Or

"If you see a machine with the pump on the tub, it needs to be relocated to the new position on the base"

Yet for both repairs the customer is 100% responsible.
I was complaining about samsung issues five years ago.
BUT...
The koreans are the fastest growing companies, in a few years LG or Samsung will be much more synonymous with appliances, than GE(worst brand) and Whirlpool (last all American brand, only top freezer fridges aren't made here).


Also machines now are very dissimilar from machines of ten years ago. Most washers have three computers and dryers two.
If you don't have a whole home surge protector, you need smaller ones on your appliances with computers.
This time a year I see one power surge fried appliance a day. (Bad weather, plus outages equals surges) and Entergy isn't responsible for surge related issues.

Napolean, any recs for a dryer other than speed queen? Looks like mine is on it's last leg even after repairs. I'm looking hard at the speed queen but wouldn't mind finding one at a lower price range.

I honestly don't care about the matching, unless you're telling me it could be a performance issue. My washer is still going strong so I'm holding off. Any suggestions on the model for LG dryer? Thanks again for the help.
