Because they are cheaper and safer than the ones in BR. The hotels in Denham already stay booked up

Some of those are true and have been known. Target? Lowe's? Hotels?

No.

Peggy Johnson Hmmm...an anonymous source?? Thats questionable Like · Reply · 2 · 20 mins DenhamDeals.com Nope. The document had the store's name on it and the store's email address in it as well. I was asked not to get the employee in trouble by posting the actual document, so I paraphrased it. Like · 9 mins · Edited Peggy Johnson Ok but where did the document originate from? This just seems like such big news to have not heard it from the print/tv media or actually Juban Crossing. I wonder why they would notify current merchants first.... Just my thoughts... Like · 11 mins Erin Bourgeois I work at Juban Crossing the property management puts out monthly new letters to the retailers letting us know what's going.

Im sure he knows his exit strategy.

Whether the overall concept succeeds doesnt really concern him.

Lowe's and Target are at Millerville. 2 exits away. One of them isn't going to Juban much less both of them.

And they don't put that in a letter to the store owners. To these big places, they aren't special. If they did, I'd question whoever writes the letter. It's not happening.

No. They are (supposedly) going to be using carbon fiber polymer in the construction. Stronger than steel at a tenth the weight. Really cool stuff.

He's been sued for close to $10 million by a concrete company in relation to the construction work on Phase 1's retail "heart". IE-that first set of retailers facing each other.

They're probably making plans to expand it because based on what I saw, they're dead in the water and will essentially have to give a massive amount of interest in that main part of Juban Crossing to the concrete company or their holding company. If they don't expand they won't make any real money off the development.

Now to be honest I've heard for awhile they were going to expand in a big way and that this was just Phase 1 being done now. So in one sense this is just confirmation that subsequent phases will add additional retail and restaurant spaces.

But that lawsuit is serious. I'll see if I can find the Advocate link.

yeah cause going east on I12 from LSU to Livingston parish is definitely the best way to completely avoid traffic.

The comparison to Perkins Rowe is laughable. Say what you will about Spinosa (it's all warranted), but PR is an actual total development, with high-end retailers, medical centers, multi-use buildings (i.e. business on the ground, residents above), a practical location, and an urban feel. To date, Juban has been nothing but more suburban sprawl vomit...seas of asphalt with big box retailers wedged in between. "Larger" than Perkins Rowe sure as shite doesn't mean "better" by any stretch of the imagination.

It's BS, Sos. Someone just made up a rumor that included some real places mixed in with "new" big ones that make zero sense. No hotels. No lowe's. No target.

Either the FB post is BS or the letter is BS.

What they need is more stuff to DO, not more places to shop. Build something unique. Not Perkins Rowe: Livingston Redux

The expansion has been known for a while. The restaurants... the theater... more retail. All in the original plan.
