Let's talk exorcisms.....

Was watching a special on the history and current practices of exorcisms and dealing with possession. I'm sure a lot of examples were more dramatized for the documentary, but pretty interesting and freaky stuff.
Any OTers been close to or known anyone possessed to the point of going thru an exorcism? Know or discussed this with a priest who was familiar with such activity?

My cousin claims my uncle was exorcised in the early 2000s. Claims his voice changed and was that of a child, but then deep and devilish. She also claims he had random cuts appear on his face and threw a dresser across the room. Two priests came and cast the demon out. He nor my aunt have never mentioned it.

And why is it always white people? I feel like we get a disproportionate share of possessions.

I sat next to someone in adoctors office that said they do exorcisms. He said it takes about an hour to perform.

I'm not licensed to perform exorcisms, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night... so take that for what it's worth

I knew a guy that claimed to have once performed an exorcism. Last I heard he's trying to run for president.

I believe that ghosts and stuff exist, but knowing what I know about mental illnesses, it's hard to believe that people who have exorcisms performed on them weren't schizophrenic to begin with.
