We all die alone and probably sad that we are dying.
Point isn't how you die, it's how you live.
Enjoying life as much as possible is the point. Sure that means different things to different people. Dan's life looks enjoyable to me, though maybe not to you.

I met him at the Warwick in Hollywood. I thought he might be a dick but he was nice and had a ton of girls around him.

Dan the man probably puts me to shame. I'm sure I would be considered a much "better person" by society and probably have a lot more friends who would help me out if I was down on my luck, but I've had to bust my ads and work for everything I've got in my life. While that may be more "admirable" Dan has had a hell of a lot more fun and enjoyment out of life I'm sure.
And IMO, all the rationalization of but I'm a good person is just that, rationalization. I'll take the having the most fun and enjoyment you can get out of the relatively short period of time called life. And IMO, that is what this dude is doing.

When I was early to mid 20's frick yea.

But hating on a guy for being rich, having tons of women, and showing them off in an effort to make himself marketable is pretty silly IMO.

I mean I could put a disclaimer on my posts, but I assumed that you would know that I don't know the guy personally and base what I post on my observations of what he throws out there on the internet.

i'm indifferent to the guy, I follow him on Twitter just to see the random pics, but I really don't care in either direction. Hell, someone her eposted about him doing lots of charity work for vets or something, no clue if that's true, but that's the kind of stuff we gloss over and don't care about because all we want to do is hate on people.

If that was my son in the future, I'd be very disappointed.
On a childish level he is "living the dream".....on a real level he is pathetic and sad trying to fill a void with hollow/meaningless distractions.

I mean, when I was 22 or 25 or whatever, I was single, wanted no part of a girlfriend, and just trying to meet cool chicks to hang out with blah blah blah.
