Then you need to put 4 15's where you don't see the wires so you can really hear the boom from the amplifiers .

Cadillac Sedan Deville

My first car was a 91. Loved that car. I had two 12" kickers in the trunk. That thing was like driving a couch around.
Miss that car.

o
70,000 original miles. And Biden bought it for me. Who would get a stimulus and not buy a Cadillac? Duh.

You have a lot of square footage to embellish:

I called a few audio shops and Cerwin Vega speakers have been recommended twice.

Ah good ole Cerwin Vega, staple of amateur DJ’s everywhere. You should put one of these in the back seat:

It only produces sound at 90hz.. but as long as the bass hits at that frequency, it’ll be loud as shite.

In all seriousness, I have no idea what their car audio offering is like.

RF and Kicker were always pretty mid teir

my recommendation would be imagine dynamic speakers with zapco amps but those arent the easiest to come by unless ordering online.

JL is still top of the line and would be my second choice. focal was recommended and those are really high end.

those shops are saying CV because they make better margins off of them.

in the end though, doesnt matter too much for what you are wanitng. Go get a nice 3 way component set for the front and rear, a small sub, amp to push it, dsp and a head unit.

the dsp will be more important than anything. personally in your position i would just make it easy and go alpine head unit to jl everything else.

you arent 18 anymore, 2 10" subs max but really would enjoy just 1.

remember its supposed to sound good, not be loud as shite.

Clyde, that mamma jamma needs a set of your Longhorns on the front.

And of course some old skool Fosgate Punch 15's.

My next tinkering will be skar audio subs and Hertz components.

You don't need two 12s. It is astonishing what a single sub can do these days.

very good components.

I got bit by the bug last summer after I hooked up my daughters system. She had a Skar 10, but had to downsize to an 8”. Alpine amp and pioneer head unit. I went with a Skar 12 with a Skar amp and a Blaupunkt head unit in my Excursron which is my f around vehicle. I ended up having to install a kill switch because listening to LSU games with the windows rattling was getting on my nerves.

I can completely understand wanting to put a system in your car... but why this car... why even bother with this hoopty.

Do you really like the idea of riding around in this as a primary vehicle? Because its not really a recreational vehicle....

Yeah... its probably comfortable and will last forever... but its a 93 sedan.

To really round out the whole pimp vibe, I'd be willing to bet that the GM name for it is "Champagne". My mom had a very similar color Oldsmobile.

I have an F-150 as my primary vehicle. This is just a toy to me. Something to take the wife out to eat in and get a laugh out of my friends.
