Took a perfectly functioning four way stop and horked up traffic on a Biblical scale.
Anyone else deal with this fiasco?

It was already terrible traffic.

Heavy, but it moved. TWSS.

Yeah they screwed it up. What, 5 people a day make a left there when heading west? So dump the other 10,000 cars into the other lane? But I'm sure the guy who designed it meant well. Dumbass.
At some point they should extend hwy 21 to hwy 22 down cedar Street, make it "no left turn" when heading south on hwy 21, and "no right turn" when heading west on 22 until you get to 21. But what do I know?

Hasn't really solved anything.

It feels like evening traffic heading west moves slightly faster, but I'm normally in a work coma by then, so who knows. The left turning lane is pretty retarded as someone already pointed out.

I like it better but I don't drive that way during rush hour

The need a traffic circle.
We were up in arms when they put in the one in Abita, but it has worked liked a charm.

I don't know if the light fixed or didnt fix anything since I've only been back once since it was up, but that was absolutely not a perfectly functioning 4 way. Maybe when the bridge wasn't open for a while. But as soon as the traffic built up because of an open bridge, then opened back up, it was a clusterf**k right there. And that 4 way was always the issue.
