I love how it took the kid like 15 seconds to pry the gun out of his skinny jeans pocket, which was just about around his knees.

Good job, LEO. And nice shooting.

The serial number was filed/ground off. Years ago, someone in the FBI came up with a way to tell what the number was from metal fatigue from stamping the number in. It was not perfected but I bet it is a better process now. It will be interesting to see if they find the gun's origin.

There's not one reporter or one BLM that would be able to function in the situation that police officer was in.

looks like the officer was a little slow, the other guy drew first, tried to clear a jam and drew again then was shot. That was a lot of restraint.

If BLM gets to this and spins it as if its another black man who got shot by a cop without focusing on details I might start an anti-BLM group.

"he just got himself caught up in too much stuff," Martes said of her son. "He really wasn't a bad boy, but he put himself in that situation. He put himself in harm's way." Of the deputies, she said: "They had to do what they had to do."

quote:

Sheriff Newell Normand at a press conference listed Martes' criminal record, which, starting at the age of 10, includes shoplifting, distribution of drugs, trespassing, and attempted armed robbery.

Even though she doesn't feel he was a "bad boy", at least she admits they had to do it.

Also,

quote:

Alesia Martes now finds herself having to bury a second child. In October 2008, the body of her 22-year-old son Brandon Martes was found abandoned in a rundown section of Gentilly. He had been shot in the head. Several hours later, police found her son's car in the St. Roch neighborhood and arrested three young men who were stripping it for parts.

Wow

"Devon took Brandon's death real hard," Martes said. "But he loved them streets. I said, 'Devon, you have to stop being out there. Don't you see what happened to your brother? Didn't this wake y'all up?' But he was hardheaded. They're just hard to deal with, those teenagers."

Devon Martes was one of 11 children, five boys and six girls. He played basketball at Grace King High School and was about to enter the 11th grade. Martes said her children never wanted for anything.

"He had brand new tennis shoes he never put on. There's no reason for you to do this," she said. "You got a momma and a dad. That's one blessing right there. We work, we come home. We work, we come home and we take care of them. We just took them Sunday to Gulfport, to the Gulf Island Water Park."

Martes said the coroner asked her to identify her son's body, but she doesn't have the strength yet to see something like that, another son laid out in the morgue.

"It's just too hard. It's like déjà vu all over again," she said. "I'm worried now, how I am going to bury him because I didn't have any insurance on him. And the coroner is not going to hold his body too long. I don't know where to start. They're telling me, go ahead and cremate him and I said, 'I can't burn my child. I can't do that."

She goes on to state again she understood they had to shoot him.

11 children....... that's part of the problem. I just don't see how two people can properly parent 11 children.

It's what they want us to do.

Their job is to get us riled up, to say stupid shite on facebook and twitter(so they can get us fired), post threads and get riled up. I got triggered 1 day, and haven't since. It's their goal.

This is why I love Newell normand. He made it very clear that there is no way he is going to allow his deputies to be put under scrutiny for this. He adamantly defends them and makes it very clear who the wrong person was in this situation

Well commonly it involves about 4-5 different daddies so you would think they could manage. This case seems different I guess but yeah ain't nobody got time or money for 11.
