Let us have another tipping thread! How much do you tip in this scenario?

Many people around Houston will be familiar with the group of restaurants known as The Creeks.
In short, the experience is as follows:
- You go up to the counter and give your order.
- I order iced tea, so they give you your own cup and you fill/refill as needed.
- They bring food to your table.
- They typically do not make rounds during meal.
- They bus table upon meal completion.
So it is more than fast food but less than a more traditional restaurant.
I think 10%-15% is reasonable. What say you?

10-15 is even pushing it. I'd leave a few bucks tops.

sounds like the difference between 10% and 20% is a few bucks
don't be cheap and know that those extra 2 bucks will help out the kids working there

Sounds like 10-15% is very generous with what little they do, and having to get your own drink.

A small pile of salt with a half-used Sweet-n-low pack.

lunch was about $15, and I left $2

That's what I would do. Basically just for throwing my stuff away.

I wouldn't tip. I did all the work

That's like buffet or Jason's Deli type environment.
$1 per person at the table. $2 maybe.

So you feel you can hold that table and not let somebody else sit who could potentially tip?

If I had a few spare 1$ bills then maybe for the bus boy

I need to know the race of the patrons in this hypothetical.
