If it had been a gay relationship liberals would have celebrated it.

Pastor Jay lives in an $800K+ home on the outskirts of Lafayette while majority of his faculty is getting paid less than $20K/yr.

Our kids went there for two years and I'm glad we pulled them out. They focus 100% on athletics and it shows. Hell, they just put in $1 million to put artificial turf on the football field.

While I'm on a Pastor Jay kick, I had to pick up one of my kids from school because they were sick. After signing then out,I go to start my truck and nothing. I go out and lift my hood and Pastor Jay rolls on by with his golf cart, passes directly in front of my truck and looks me dead in the eye and keeps on. Never asked if I needed help.

I've heard numerous stories about him and the school, but it doesn't involve me or my family and I wasn't there to witness it so I'll keep those comments to myself.

A lot of Private schools don’t care about teaching credentials. Lots of private schools have coaches teaching core subjects like geometry, algebra 2, chemistry, and physics. From what I’ve seen, they tell them to read the textbook and hand out worksheets already made from the supplement materials that came with the textbook

failing public schools are doing the same, it's an investment in facilities giving more use to the acreage.

How in the frick did he get a second chance?

It’s his 3rd chance! Had another incident swept under the rug by a school/ community who didn’t want the attention and trouble

He was definitely not terrible. He was a pretty good ball player. But he is absolutely a creep

When he was hired on as LCA's baseball coach, many parents expressed concern and brought it up to Pastor Jay. He literally told them that everyone deserves a 2nd chance.

Many teachers at small private schools are not licensed. Especially the coaches

I worked at a private school in BR for a few years and saw that firsthand

Correct. Most of the teachers don't even have degrees either. That's how they can get away with paying them $18K/yr.

No it's true.

Private schools that aren't prestigious or large cut corners by hiring non-licensed teachers. Many times they hire a coach they want and simply fill any available teaching vacancy with that person.

Principals pass them to the department head who then trains the coach on how to teach the subject.

Private does not always equal BETTER education especially if you live in Ascension or Zachary.

that's what happens when the person running the school/church is more worried about the athletics program than anything else.

It's not just failing public schools. Our school system is far from failing and the athletic budgets are absurd. I will say though that a good portion of that funding is through donations and fundraisers.

I would never expect a guy that looks like this to be a sex offender
Then that suggests 90% of guys that age in the Lafayette area are sex offenders.
