Good thing you posted a pic..

It looks good if you ask me but if you want to add anything pick out any of the plants at the drive thru of starbucks on Sherwood..

edit well you may not know about that but anything green. Theres different shades of green that are more leafy type plants not flowers. I would stick with that. Because you dont need to add anymore flash, it looks like your house provides that due to the variety of masonry your house is made of. So keep your plants basic. that's what I'd do.

Kick arse house btw

A moat around your house with a draw-bridge would be great. Aside from that maybe a get a box of matches and let your kids play with them.

Start with an LSU flag opposite your American Flag, then you might consider a few purple and gold flamingos in the yard. (At least on Gameday)

Put some knock out roses along the back, looks like maybe 3, then on each corner in the front put some foxtail ferns, leaving the middle area where you can put seasonal flowers like petunias etc.

pretty damn nice looking house, if you ask me...

I do think it could benefit with an additional plant or two...however, I wouldn''t do a thing just to keep from having to spend time doing yardwork....

Hire a professional.

The house has potential, but you need to do something to mitigate the closeness of the neighboring houses. The tall, vertical lines of your house make this look worse.

I'd plant some Lorapellum-Blush shrubs,probably 3 on each side.There is also a green lorapellum.

You can keep them any height you want and the have a nice color.

Then maybe some Veriegated Monkey Grass along the edge, spaced out.

Thanks for including a pic. Just listed your house on craig's list with an offer to exchange really freaky services for room and board in one of your spare rooms.

Mexican feather Grass everywhere I see mulch-Evergreen and Drought tolerant (do not irrigate).

Mix in a few Autumn Sage in front of the shrubs already planted. Its semi evergreen and drought tolerant. Blooms spring until frost.
Its the red bloom in the pic. They also come in white and purple blooming varieties.

I'm an LA in Dallas.

get rid of the trees in front build up and replace with river birches they would look great with your house.extend the bed with agapanthus add in some drift rose. looks like you have a tree front of the bed rip it out put in a vitex build it up and present it.Actually everything needs to be built up get rid of the white rocks replace with a natural stone that goes with the house. if you dont do anything atleast get rid of the stakes on the trees they dont need em.

nice house and for around a thousand you could make it look awesome if you do it yourself. 400 in trees 150 in plantings 200 in dirt and mulch. Spray out bed line and your labor. 1000 bucks simple landscape which in my opinion looks better anyway. you can keep anything basic just present what you have thats makes the difference.

. Those rocks were dug up here when they excavated for the foundation. And the house is mostly the same white limestone that they quarry less than a mile away.

Duh, I'm glad you didn't that would hurt my ability to negotiate the best deal for you. We're playing poker with these fools on Craigslist not blackjack, they don't need to see all the cards we are holding. These people only need a visual to start imagining themselves sleeping in one of your rooms.

Here's the deal, the best offer we have received so far is from a pair of identical twins, named Sarah and Stephanie.(she said they prefer to be called little people, but we know that just means they are midgets) They recently got out of rehab and are no longer on the needle so no worries there. They said they will do whatever you want and they don't take up much space. Said they will even share a twin bed if needed....

I'll keep you updated as other offers come in.
