have any of y'all in the area tried this place out yet? Looks like a friend of a friend is the owner. Just wondering if it looks like something that will make it in the market. LINK

Nah and I will go ahead and say that this probably won't last. Should have built a top golf.

seems interesting, the rates seem fair...

never really understood the point of the simulators other than testing out clubs at the store

These places never do as well as people think. It won't crash and burn, but it won't be the next coming of Christ either.

I did a business proposal on this idea in college.

In my opinion there are too many days in South Louisiana that you could deem "good golf days," ie not pouring down raining or sub 35*. There just can't be enough draw because golfers would rather play actual golf.

There was something similar to this where I used to live and it did not last long. It did ok in the colder months, but still not that great. This one does look nicer and more spacious than the one I went to, but it just doesn't replace play for real at a course.

If they won't build a TG in New Orleans, they sure as hell won't build one in Lafayette. Look where TG's are located...pretty much major metropolitan areas where tourists travel to. Locals in the Laffayette "metro" area could not support a Top Golf. TG rates aren't something people go out and do every weekend.

Their hours will make this fail. They need to be open when it's dark more, not when you can go outside and golf.

Agree 100%, but Louisiana isn't getting a TG unless it's in NOLA.

I want to say it's grand opening is today. I'm interested to go try it out. I think it might be a good alternative to going out some nights.

I've done it a couple times. Fun enough to play 9 holes and have some beer.

Somehow it can take longer than regular golf.
