Those men and their superiors should all be arrested.

I mean this sincerely and not in typical OT snide fashion. Take the time to go down and make an IA complaint on this a-hole. While a complaint that an officer was "rude/not helpful" normally wouldn't go anywhere, this one will. If he already got thrown into Patrol that tells you he is on the radar big time. A follow up complaint will carry some weight. This dude must be stupid on top of everything else because once you are on the radar, it is time to walk the line. This guy sounds like a full-on turd. He isn't doing the NOPD or the citizens any good.

Have never met a decent NOPD cop..... Ever....

Can imagine they get jaded after a while, especially there.

Sure good cops do exist in NOLA but they seem to be like unicorns or mythical creatures that no one has ever actually encountered.

It probably wouldnt jive with current officers making less, but we need to get a federal grant to offer like 50k starting salaries to new recruits.

The bottom line is that the police are getting closer & closer to the mostly low income criminals they are supposed to be policing.

From CNN

quote:

a 2-year-old was brought to a hospital emergency room after an alleged sexual assault. Tests would show the toddler had a sexually transmitted disease, the report said.
The detective in the case wrote in his report that the 2-year-old "did not disclose any information that would warrant a criminal investigation and closed the case," the inspector general's report said.

Uhhh...what the hell?

Like Scruffy said, they should be arrested and thrown in prison.

Their bothers in arms will stand with them. Birds of a feather flock together.

I have. As a female bartender working solo in the FQ overnights at times - I had a number of them let me know where they would be positioned at various points in the night should I ever need them.

The mounted patrol guys down there were always gentlemen when they had the time to be.

Met a bunch of jerks, too.

Seems like the guys behind desks are taking the cake in that department nowadays.

ETA:

Maybe the patrol guys were making sure I was never put in the position to have to deal with the desk guys.

I know one. You'd never suspect he was a NOPD cop because he is so normal. Really cool guy that is about 25 and doesn't get drunk at bars or request free shite. He actually works either the gang task force or the narcotics task force in Central City. Said he doesn't like 95% of the guys he works with

There is also one NOPD cop that hangs out at the Milan, and is one of the creepiest people I have ever met

I am missing your point here. They shouldn't be fired because they were officers before they were detectives?

Point being that those same guys were working the beat before becoming detectives. Imagine the damage they did there

Seriously, NOPD needs to be completely taken over by the FBI the same way the army ran the Iraqi army for 10+ years.

seriously.. I know it's impossible. But nearly every employee needs to be fired and then retrained.
No wonder why they can't get new people in, everyone knows it's a shite storm.
