Here is a trick I use and never have an issue with putting a new fitted sheet on the mattress....

When standing at the foot of the bed the tag on the sheet always goes to the bottom left.

You removed the tag?

Next time you're sure you have it done correctly just take a permanent marker and put a big dot on opposite corners so that when you are standing at the foot of the bed one of them is always on your left or right. Sure, the dots will be visible if you don't have anything on top but who does that?

I have a king sized bed and have never had that problem. You must be doing something wrong.

Yes, they could make it 76x76. But then you would bitch about it being small. And it's a fricking King. Bigger is better

I always buy sheets that have tone-on-tone stripes so I can tell which way to put them on the bed.
