Many banks will have you estimate the amount of change, they count it later and adjust your account.

My local bank has a machine and it's free for customers. Bring it to them dump your jug into a money bag and they deposit it into your account.

Chase does not require rolling unless you want the money in your account immediately.
They send it off and it hits your account in 7-10 days

Bank I dealt with sends them off to be busted out by another company, so they needed me to roll them to get a number.

Cool. Thanks. Didn't want to count and roll. But how do I know I'm not getting cheated?

If your bank has a machine you can do it free.
There is a YouTube video of a guy that does this and it was a little over $4,000!!
No joke

It's such a simple thing to offer & great customer service. I don't know why banks don't do this more.
I have a Coinstar close and use Amazon quite a bit so I just get the $0 fee Amazon certs.

You would need to count and roll to totally mitigate this risk.

The regions on Essen, if you have an account, charges $5 for their coin bag to count and deposit into your Acct.
Regions will charge you for anything. They suck so bad.

I just asked at the Capital One branch in Gonzales and they said they only accept rolled coins.
Posted on 2/4/16 at 9:16 am to Nado Jenkins83
Unless your time is basically worthless, use the Coinstar.

The capital one on college does that. They just tell you to guess how much is in there. The one I go to in Metairie counts it while you're there
College Dr also wouldn't take Katrina tainted change, so I had to go home and wash $900 worth of metal

I just use coinstar pay the fee and move on - I don't think a bank will deal with loose change

Fidelity Homestead in Metairie will do it for free.

My bank lets me use their coin machine for free if I deposit the total in my account.
I once saved change for so long I was afraid the shelf was in danger of collapsing. Had multiple 1-gallon jugs full. Grand total was almost $3.5K.
