Is it true that most banks don't have a coin counter. My jug is full and would rather not lose 10% to coinstar. I have a chase account for what it's worth.

Rolled ours just a month or so ago. Had to do it by hand as the bank wouldn't do anything with it as it stands.

Fwiw ended up with about $1,800.

Coinstar will give you free Amazon certificates. No 10% fee.

Are you trying to make the rent payment? If so, getcha some of these and get to work.

Thanks. I really don't need more gift cards. I'm a pro at misplacing them. Last time I did this was in the early 2000s and Hibernian had a machine. Pissed off everyone with the noise.

My buddy rolled his and brought it to the bank. They busted them all open and dropped them in the machine

It's not a gift card. It's a printed receipt with a code on it. Print it, take a picture of it, enjoy.

Or roll the damn coins.

It prints a number on the receipt and you add that to your account so the gift card is digital.

I don't have an amazon account either. I'm old school I guess.

Just would rather add it to one of my accounts. I use a debit card for most purchases

Don't go to the auto coin op machine if you want to pay it commission for counting.

You can roll your own with an auto sorter or manual sorters, it just takes time. You have to decide how much your time is worth...

If it's commission on $800 worth of coin sorting, then so be it.

I rolled mine and Capital One made me break them open and put them in the machine. I wasn't charged a percentage though.

This was also years ago, so I have no idea what they do now.

It's probably close to that or more. All silver. No pennies as I usually just throw them on the ground

The regions on Essen, if you have an account, charges $5 for their coin bag to count and deposit into your Acct. Takes about a week.

A Kentwood jug would probably need 2 bags.

How about you call your local Chase bank, they'll surely know.

I worked at Chase about 7 years ago and we wouldn't do it for customers. We would just give them the wrappers.
