You can use an article 894 in every single parish. As long as you mail them a money order and dont get another citation in that parish within 6 months you are good to go. I too was always under the impression you had one time to use your 894 but found out its per parish about a yr ago. A coworker also told me earlier that he has used article 894 eight different times now. Makes sense because our company is strict as hell when it comes to tickets.

They all have a "pre-trail diversion" type program for tickets. I did it 6 times last year just in St John Parish. Like I said, they don't care as long as you send them a check.

First offense, you'll meet with the ADA(?) before an actual court appearance and he should drop it down to a 'Non-moving violation'...

Barring that it's your first offense (in a long time)

Yeah it's my first offense. Also the first time being pulled over in my 6 years of driving. To make it worse I had just driven home 4 hours after taking my last final and I was sooo close to being home (was taking short cut through kenner to river ridge). When I saw him on the side of the rode with the radar gun I knew I was speeding and screwed. I didn't even try to argue with him about it, I was too exhausted. Maybe I should have.

I'm sure some of y'all are familiar with that area, it was on alliance right after you cross the tracks coming from airline so I'm sure he got a ton of people that day.

I cant even read the number on mine. The guy had most of the ticket pre-wrote already.

I got a ticket on the spillway by the state police for 80 in a 60. Woooo

I've never seen a radar cop on Alliance, but it is January and they got to make their quotas you know.
