You do realize that there are more 25 year olds in non Western countries than in Western one's right? I doubt most 25 year olds in Africa, the Middle East, South America, southeast Asia and many non English speaking countries have a clue who even the Beatles are.

How are you not getting that just because you know it doesn't mean a younger generation does?

25 might be a little old for the cut off. I'd say that probably a pretty big proportion still know. It's old enough for a good amount of people that age to have parents who grew up listening to the beatles.

The 20 a younger crowd are probably starting to get pretty distant generationally from the beatles. Young teenagers probably don't have much of a clue.

Otherwise there will always be a large group who aren't aware of history or where they came from at all.

Google, yahoo or bing. Saying "I don't know who this person is?" is pretty absurd nowadays.

not to mention that while Western music and culture has been exported world wide, rice farmers in interior China are not jamming "Come Together".

Well sure. But Paul McCartney? There are very few people on earth more famous than him.

How old are you? I'm willing to bet most people under 25 have no idea who he is.

I am 24 and don't know one person who does not know who he is.

Based on what? It's more like you want this to be true so can dog this generation. You are the old guy at work that this young kids are ruining this country.

Classic rock is fairly popular with people my age. Paul McCartney just played in New Orleans and everyone (well a lot of people) know that could go, went or tried to afford too.

24 years old. Grew up listening to the Beatles and while I respect what they did. Paul needs to hang it up. The dude sounds terrible in his old age.

My 23 year old wife and her group of friends, my little brother of the same age's friends, etc. Many of them couldn't name you the Beatles members if their life depended on it.

I'm around that generation plenty enough to be in tune with it. And i'm not knocking them. The Beatles just aren't relevant with current young generations. It's not an insult to them, just a fact.

John intended to be the one who publicly quit, but Paul talked him out of it. Then Paul quit.

John was always pissed he didn't get credit for ending the
Beatles.

this

Paul must be desperate to be considered relevant

why can't he just keep busy counting his money instead of hooking up with this no-talent

I saw him twice in the last 4 years and he put on a great show each time. Unless he is lip synching he sounds fantastic for his age.
