they can obtain a warrant from a random methhead pulled over for a traffic stop, yea, they can get a warrant based on info from your family.

Not in LA, if you're a minor here you have to have parental consent to question their underage child. So if they didn't get parental consent, the entire premise for the warrant would be void.

Can the police interrogate an 11 year old without informing the parents or legal guardians?

What if the school questioned the child and relayed the information to police?

Admissible?

The absurdity here of course is that a woman could lose her custody of her child for therapeutically using a drug that’s legal for recreational use an hour to the west. It seems safe to say that the amount of the drug she had in her home was an amount consistent with personal use. (If she had been distributing, she’d almost certainly have been charged by now.)

This boy was defending his mother’s use of a drug that helps her deal with an awful condition. Because he stuck up for his mother, the state arrested her and ripped him away from her. Even if he is eventually returned to his mother (as he ought to be), the school, the town, and the state of Kansas have already done a lot more damage to this kid than Banda’s use of pot to treat her Crohn’s disease ever could.

I definitely agree. I don't understand the overwhelming ignorance surrounding marijuana. Drinking is much worse and that's done in millions of households, in front of children. The child wasn't pushing his mother's issue on her behalf, he was smart enough to realize that they were giving misinformation, or just ignorant, and corrected them. Most kids just believe the senseless crap they're told, without a second thought.

Supposedly, the police in Kansas somehow got Facebook to shutdown her page where she was asking for contributions to her gofundme site.

Solid police work here...

Negative. They wouldn't let the lady in her own home while they waited 3 hours for the warrant.

I've never smoked cigarettes or pot, and if someone wants to oh well but why in the hell if it's so important to her why didn't she stay in Colorado?
