Can you imagine making just one penny on every k cup sold.

He would have made 90 million dollars last year.

I'm not even kidding, I think I would jump off a bridge.

te Creator of Victoria secret, Roy Raymond, jumped off the Golden Gate bridge after he sold.

Yeah missing out on 90 million a year would leave me a little grumpy in the morning. And I wouldn't want to see a damn Keurig machine in my house.

Article goes on to say he invested the $50k in Green Mountain stock at $3.20/share and sold when it went over $140. So he made a million or two, but not as much as he should've. Reminds me of that Burt's Bees documentary on Netflix that I wasted two hours watching.

The only reason to own a Keurig is to tell everyone that you own a Keurig.

This does the exact same thing, uses grounds with a permanent filter instead of those overpriced cups, and costs $15. Keurigs are the Yeti Coolers of coffee. I'm surprised they don't make stickers to sell in each of the units so the new owners can proudly display their coffee brewers on the back of a Prius.

Wife got one for Christmas from her office and my office has one. They are convenient, but the coffee isn't anything special no matter what brand/roast you have. My grinder and purchasing the roasted beans produces a much better coffee.

Nah. Keurig isn't a wannabee "elitist" thing. It's actually the opposite. The people you're describing probably turn their noses up at Keurig coffee and only drink drip or french press from their local indy coffee shop.

That thing keeps popping up as recommended to watch.

I'd put a sticker on my truck. I love my Keurig.

K cups make such horrible coffee. I think my piss after a standard cup packs more of a punch

It is pretty convenient for me to just plug one in so I can have a quick cup while getting ready for work.

I just get a drip brew started before I take a shower in the morning. When I get out, it's ready. Easy as can be and it tastes much better.

I'd rather drink the crap that is Starbucks burned coffee over a k-cup of coffee.

I like the Dark Magic K-Cups its not as good as grinding your own beans and French Pressing it, but thats not why you get a Keurig. Its quick easy and fast for when you are on the go. A Hamburger at McD's is not as good as pouring charcoal getting the temp right making your own patties out of Wagyu Beef and slowliy cooking it to perfection either. They have thier purpose and serve it well once you find a servicable cup you like.

It's like 5x the cost of brewing your own.

Nonsense. It's 59 cents for my daily cup of Emeril's Big Easy Bold. I'm not going to brew my own for less than that, one cup at a time. K-cups are fast, very convenient, and there are plenty of varieties that taste good. If you are doing it for a group of people, then sure, brew a pot. But Keurig is the right answer for a lot of people.

My new move is to go to Starbucks, get a triple expresso, and just full it to the top w/ milk and a shake of nutmeg to kill the awful taste

That is because the coffee and water are not in contact with each other long enough.

Not necessarily.

The aeropress only tells you to steep the grounds for 15 seconds. Although it does use pressure to help extract the coffee. But once you boil the water, it takes 60 seconds to brew a rich cup of coffee.
