Just saw some episodes of tiny house hunters holy shite! I can't believe a family of 4 could live in a 200 sq ft box with 1 toilet. On the other hand if I just finished high school and my parents helped me get one with the luxury amenities like the girl from Portland got that would be a cool bachelor pad. I wish I could build a whole bunch of these and rent them out to students by lsu. I think that would be a good buisness.

Some of these tiny houses on wheels are bigger then some apartments they showed in other countries across seas on international house hunters.

I love international house hunters.....especially when some high maintenance southern princess has to settle for 500sf with a dorm fridge.

What do you have against southern princesses?

The idea of downsizing to a small home is pretty appealing to me, as long as it's on a nice piece of property. However, I don't think I'd want to go as small as most of the people on that show... More like a 2/2 with around 1000 square feet.

I've had a tiny house for years. I just call it a hunting cabin and don't act pretentious about it.

I can't tell if you're giving me a hard time about my post or not.

I just meant that I don't need a big house to be happy, and that I'd be happier with more property. I'd also like to continue to travel a lot... Oh, and early retirement would be nice as well.

100% of the time, I'm happier on my land, in my tiny house

If you want kids and a wife, it's not practical. That's why we have hunting cabins

Nobody is gonna watch that. Go small or go to an oversized home

I never said that the kind of house I'm talking about would make it on the show, or that I'd want to even be on the show. I'm not trying to pitch a show to a network called Relatively Modest House Hunters.

Wife and I watched the other night. Pulled out our houseplans, her closet in master is 105 ft2 and mine is 72 ft2. I think we'll pass, but it's very trendy at the moment

We bought ours. 2/1 1200 square foot to retire in. Best decision ever.

They're on wheels. You could technically move them out of the path of a hurricane.
