It was a charity auction. They would auction off the first bale of the year and donate the proceeds. A good market price for a rel bale would be around $50.

The nation was outraged at the Dylan Roof shootings, including this board. I think the time period is the only reason for what you describe, not the skin color of the victims.

I clearly am not defending the FB post. And clearly called it as it is.
It's funny, this board got seriously bent out of shape when the confederate flag bullshite was going on... "How dare you take away our heritage!!?? You just don't understand what that flag represents to our history."
Yet, anytime a minority points out a very significant event which, believe it or not, IS a part of their history, it is somehow just SJW bullshite trying to racebait.
Fortunately, I can evaluate both spectrums fairly. There is simply too many people in our society wanting to be heard but are unable to speak without bullshite hyperbole in an effort to do nothing more than to be heard and excite emotions. It really is exhausting. People just need to calm the frick down, get a job, work hard, and don't be scared to help your neighbor just because he may look, talk, pray, or act differently.
Is this SJW? I don't think so... Just common sense to me. Our world is what we make it. Yes, The mass hysteria caused everytime a minority feels another minority has been slighted needs to abate. But there are improvements needed all around.

Well, considering one was a battle in the civil war and another was a race and labor dispute which resulted in a massacre. You pick what you want chief. After all, to me it is not a competition.
