I went to high school with a kid who had 9 brothers. 10 boys total. His mom wrote a book and was on Oprah.

one of each, I'm the oldest. I always wished I had a older brother. I guess that's what my BIL is for.

I had a friend in elementary school who was one out of 12 kids. The family was like a celebrity around our town, everyone knew about them. They were in the newspaper alot, and i remember my ftiend telling me they were auditioning for their own reality show.Wonder if they ever got it

My grandfather had 7 brothers. No sisters. They said the meals my great grandmother served were epic - all prepared on a wood burning stove. Once a meal was finished and cleaned up she had to begin preparations for the next one.

It's definitely rare, but not shocking. Approximately 1.56% of families with 6 children will have all girls or all boys.
