How old were you when you first got picked? I'm only 22.

Update: Got lucky, kind of. Was selected for the jury yesterday. Come in this morning for the 2nd day. Have to wait in jury room for an hour. Judge comes in and says that she accepted a plea deal. Had to go back at 2pm for another case. Don't get picked.

Holy fricking shite the entire process is entirely fricked. Made 32 bucks doe.

19, please do your service and serve proudly with an open mind. If you were charged with a crime you would want an unbiased jury. Also, don't be nervous, chances are you won't get picked.

I was in my mid 20s the first time. Been picked for the jury 2 of the 2 times I've been called. Found guilty both times.

If I actually get picked I'll do my best, people's livelihoods could be on the line.

I have jury duty the labor day week. I plead hardship the last two times that they summoned me and they let me off. This last time, no deal.

My son got out of his jury duty because he is a student at LSU.

I really think that they are wasting my time but I do understand that our citizens deserve a trial by their peers. With some of the bullshite cases that are wasting the courts time, I really don't think that I am in their peer group. I am a law abiding citizen, I graduated high school, college and professional school and I work and pay taxes.

Do you breathe with your mouth closed? Can you read and write? Are you gainfully employed? They won't want you if you answered yes to two or more of these.

First time I had to go I was 25. In the last five years, I've been subpoenaed four times. Luckily three of those settled before the date and I didn't have to go. I'm always fearful that I'll get the certified mail slip when checking the mailbox. Better than being slapped with a lawsuit I guess.

ETA: What's to be nervous about? When I went I wasn't even called.
