I know of multiple firms that are looking to hire more attorneys. The problem is that most want/try to stay in BR or Nola. On the other hand, there is an excess of personal injury attorneys. Pretty there is no need for any of those.

Probably still need to pass the bar to use those connections.

We talk about this every year: the summer exam is primarily filled with people who either deferred taking it after graduation, graduated late, or have already failed before. The passage rates tend to be wildly different from the fall exam, which is primarily filled with your traditional test takers: first time taking the exam, immediately after graduation.

Eta: In looking at the numbers, it looks like the number of kids who are deferring the first test is skyrocketing. Interesting…

Eta2: I posted on the next page how much of an idiot I am, but I'm leaving my idiocy up for funsies, anyway

Nope. This is entirely backwards. July exam is for people that graduated in May. The guys taking the exam in February either deferred or failed.

Is the exam back to the precovid normal procedure (3 days, etc)?

Pretty sure UNO has more fist time cpa exam passers than Tulane and the tuition is miles apart.

Mr. Joshjrn, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

No.... you don't go to Tulane law to take the LA Bar exam. Their civil law to common law programs are basically reversed from that of Loyola and LSU.

This is the exam results for the recent graduates who just graduated last May I mean there are second timers and a few deferrals mixed in there who may have graduated in the fall last year or something but....what?

I love this thread every year, except for the July 2020 bar exam when there was no test and everyone got waived in. That was and still is scary. Somewhere out there are licensed LA attorneys who cannot spell cat. I also had reservations with the open book bar exam in 2021.

For all of those like me who took the real LA bar exam and passed it on the first take, I salute you.

“Why should I come to your law school?”
“Well you can pay us an arse load of money and you’ll have a 50% chance of passing the bar”

Louisiana needs more lawyers about as much as the need for more real estate agents.

Don't most of the Tulane grads take the bar in another state?

So that means the Tulane kids who take it here are probably the kids of politicians, which explains the low scores.

Loyola up and coming, good for them, we do need a viable option in NOLA for those who wanna stay in state.

Loyola has put a major empahsis on bar prep in the last few years and it seems to be paying off.

If you are self motivated and don't get into LSU, is a better option if you aren't looking to end up with 200k in debt from Loyola. If you have some connections to help with getting a job Southern is probably a better investment.
