My Facebook feed has been littered with out of state anti-Trumpers who were so hoping his visit would be a disaster. Then they railed against him that he "disobeyed JBE" by coming to Louisiana. And then they are posted stupid memes that he only volunteered for 49 seconds and only brought play-doh. Really happy to see this article from The Advocate:

quote:

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, on CNN Sunday morning, praised GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump for coming to see the massive flooding damage in the state first-hand. "I think ... because it helped shine a spotlight on Louisiana and the dire situation that we have here that it was helpful," Edwards told CNN's Dana Bash.

JBE isn't going to get to put on his honor code knee pads if he keeps praising trump like this. It might be a lonely tuesday for him now.

MAGA is way smarter than JBE

Almost like he knew what he was doing and didn't care about politics, just cared about the people... hmmm....

I thought he said don't come if he's just here for a photo op -- i.e., bring donations and not press. Trump brought donations and not press.

I can't speak for anyone else, but as an "anti-trumper", I appreciate anyone who comes and provides any type of supplies for people who are in need at this time, whether they do it completely out of self-interest or not.

With that said, of all the many people who have provided supplies, help, etc, why does everyone only care about what the politicians do?

Nothing that any politician is doing is genuine. Trump, JBE, Barry, Hillary. It's a a big smoke show to advance their political clout.

Hillary offered her "sympathy" while celebrating Bill's birthday with Obama on Martha's Vineyard. And attending a fund raiser. No doubt her sympathy was deep & heart felt.

Agreed, but it's not as if Louisiana is a swing state. Trump would win this state regardless if he came to visit or not, and I'm not sure if him helping Louisiana really will change voters minds in other states.

Trump slapped that JBitch in the face with his 9" cock and LA people praised Trump. So now he's trying to praise Trump, LOLOLOL.

Talks about the "spotlight" that he tried to unplug himself. What a complete LOSER!

John Bel Edwards, the democratic governor of Louisiana, and Donald Trump, the republican presidential nominee. It is almost comical how terrible the past 12 months have been for a true conservative in this state.

I'm both anti-Clinton and anti-Trump, but would appreciate either visiting. It shines a light box Louisiana in a time of need. Presidential candidates mean extra media coverage, which means more chances for people to send in aid.

If Clinton would have visited instead of trump it would still be the top news story ....
