There is a beautiful old cemetery here in Savannah called Bonaventure. It is on the banks of the Savannah river. Old oak trees and Spanish moss everywhere. Stunning. Its is a big tourist attraction due to the movie and book Midnight in the Garden of Good and evil. My wife visited it for the first time recently and both thought it would be such a beautiful place for a morning run but I thought it might be in poor taste. What says the OT?

The New Orleans Track Club puts on a damn race through one every year.
Not seeing what a problem is. Just don't sit on a tombstone or anything.

Only if you're hurdling the tombstones.

Depends. Some cemetaries encourage the public to use them. At the very least people should keep a respectful distance from any services taking place.

Nope. I actually will go through one on my route now and again and say a prayer for their souls.

You'd think that until you come home with a poltergeist.

It's ok as long as you're quiet. Don't be an a-hole and wake anyone up.

Pretty sure my grandfathers that served in WW2 would like to see more jiggly fatties jogging more, so not disrespectful.

Saw this today. Two ladies on a Saturday stroll like it was a park. For someone who wants a little privacy visiting a loved ones grave site thought kind of strange. Maybe they can bring a frisbee next time . Or a picnic lunch.

The cemetery is also a great place to meet women.
