Are you kidding? I'm just supposed to let a dog run under my feet yapping an biting me and not do anything? Screw that. Some people one this bord are crazy when it comes to dogs

My all time fave was WOWYHI's poem to his dog.

He must have kicked the bejeezus out of that thing.

I'm picturing Larry David in the episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm where he kills a black swan that runs at him on the golf course.

Comment from a CBS article sums it up for me.

It's not everyone's responsibility to know if a stranger's dog is safe or gentle especially if its running to you barking. Have you ever heard the old saying never trust a dog you don't know? Most people in fear will react and certainly won't wait to be bitten to determine if a dog is friendly.

I know the pug didn't bite the guy, but if it did, and he kicked it, would he still be an a-hole or a coward?

I've been bitten by a pug, and those teeth couldn't tear silk. A poster asked earlier if you'd let it bite your dick, and even if it did, I guarantee by nightfall I'd have already made a full recovery.

A pug could easily break skin and bite your dick clean off. You act like its mouth and teeth are made of foam and lollipops

A dog isn't going to bite me, period. I don't care what it can or can't do to my dick. Now if it turns out the dog wasn't being aggressive and the guy just kicked it out of spite, I'll switch sides.

Or we recognize it's a fricking pug that most likely either wants to play (especially since it was 2) or pat on the head. Pugs are highly social dogs, typically love strangers, and are curious about anything new.

And even if it did bite you, have you ever seen pug teeth? They're flat in comparison to most of their cousins and really can't defend themselves. They couldn't draw blood even if they tried.

Maybe the guy that wasn't doing anything illegal had never been bitten by one, and if he had, he was within his rights to kick the shite out of that dog. how is he supposed to know what an animal is capable of?

How mad were you when you brought your Pug to kindergarten and they said only human children are allowed in school? Did you plead that "this is my child!!!!!"

As have I. frick dogs not on a leash. I've maced and kicked the shite out of them. It's my right. frick dog lovers that think they are on a human level. I love my dogs, but I'll kick the shite out of them as well, if threatening a human.

I would like to know the circumstances of the first time he was bitten, i.e. if it was while jogging. Overall, I agree with the folks that think it was odd to kick the shite out of a pug. However, she fricked up by not having a leash. That being said, I don't think it should give him free reign to murder the dog, but maybe he didn't mean to. No one knows how hard he kicked it. I personally do not trust strangers to do the right thing whatsoever, be it while driving or interacting in public places, and I certainly don't trust a stranger to keep their dog from biting me, even if it is small. I don't trust other people to have dogs with up to date shots, even if it is a small dog. Small dogs can draw blood too, and that would be all I cared about. I would probably kick a dog to get it away from me, and I feel like the guy may have acted in fear in a quick situation. However, if it comes out that the guy was just spiteful of little dogs on this trail and kicked one for the hell of it, then damn him. I want to wait to get more details. My hope is it was just a freak accident and the dog had some bad luck, and the parties can make amends in one way or another.
