Unless the whole thing is a farce and there is an internal candidate they already earmarked for the job, prep work is how most candidates seperate themselves.

The ones that show the initative and drive to do their homework will often beat out all comers.

So no, prep work isn't "odd," and it is your best remedy if you get nervous about it.

Plan out scenarios and STAR type responses to obvious question styles.

Are you flexible and can handle various challenges?

I always asked what is your weakness and how can you overcome it to make yourself a better employee? This stumps people
