I have't been in the job market search for a while, but kicking the tires around to see what's out there for web development/Marketing jobs.

Since when is it ok for Companies to ask the following questions on employment applications?

- RACE
- AGE
- GENDER
- ETHNICITY

Perhaps I am old school, but I always thought that asking these types of questions on Job Applications was a big NO NO.

Times sure have changed!

They have to ask that per DEI so they know who’s applying…

You should feel really confident about your chances of getting a new job.

Make up a new ethnicity, race and gender. They can’t really say anything.

I’ve been working since 1988 and am pretty sure all those (except ethnicity) were always asked..the term ethnicity wasn’t commonly used back then.

What kind of jobs are grown men of the OT trying to get that requires filling out an "application"?

You don't have to answer however if you are hired the manager has to "guess" and put it on file for the .gov.

They can't ask about those things in your interview but if they are a big company and follow all the BS EEO crap then it will be on the application or done after hiring.

Not required to ask, but should based on EEOC.

Also, you are not required to answer.

They are both options.

Though, you really should ask if an employer…

Six figure professional jobs? What job doesn’t? Hell you have to fill out an application to be head football coach at a college.

I suppose you can "identify" as anybody you'd like, depending on the narrative. We're all aware of the dems sliding scale.
