All the state and city workers in BR were promised Monday off lol. Due to bad weather it's moved up to the weekend. Go to work state pikers, no free lunch on my tax dollars.

I already had 2 straight Mondays off. I'm ready to go back to normal.

I guess you're right. They'll say rainy Monday is still the recognized day, thus you pikers still get a 3-day weekend.

I'd prefer Friday off if I had a 4 day week.

Best case would be a 9x9.

Is that when he begins reducing the size of state government, or was that even a campaign position of his?

The inauguration is Sunday afternoon after the Saints game and the inaugural ball is still Monday night

So spreading it out over 2 days will likely cost more of your dollars

state and city workers

Most useless people around. I've worked for both and it's just garbage from top to bottom.

And Louisiana has the least talented and skilled of all the public employees.

That’s why they created civil service. To employ the mostly unemployable. If they worked in the private sector, they wouldn’t be employed long, if at all.

How long will it take for people start start bitching about him? Everyone wants a certain party in office then at some point no matter who is in office there will be one thing they do that people will be pissed off about and start accusing them of being.. something.

Courts are still going to be closed because everything has already been reassigned because of his vanity holiday

Only state and city workers in BR are off. Since the house ceremony is still happening Monday, my guess is they still will be off.

Civil Service was created as protection against political corruption. Would you really want a public servant to be a crony of a governor. Every state agency would be filled with people who helped the elected. You think state workers are bad now….it would be far worse

Don’t think for a second the Civil Service isn’t part of the political corruption.

It's a State statutory holiday in BR. When they hold the ceremonial inauguration doesn't ultimately matter.
