Other than Ford, no surprises on the list.

Land Rover is extremely happy Fiat is making cars again.

Ever seen a Dodge Caliber with water sloshing around in the tail lights? I have, a lot, and it reminds me of that goofy wave-mood toy you can get at Spencers in the mall. Chrysler puts money into only three products, Ram Trucks, the 300, and challenger/charger. Everything is Chinese-knockoff Playskool lead toy part quality crap.

A guy on one of my car forums built OEM tail lamps for three manufacturers. Chevy was the best at money vs. product quality, Ford was VERY close behind, Dodge was so far over the fricking horizon that his plant hated dealing with them.

I've had good luck with jeep and ford.

Only truck I've seen that comes close to comfort of my f250 is the new 2500 dura max high country

I had a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee for about 10 years. I did all the maintenance on it. The only major problem I had was a faulty sensor that caused it to overheat once. It busted the radiator. I changed the radiator and the sensor. Ran like a champ. I traded it in last year with 280,000 miles on it for a 2010 Ford F150 Lariat 4 door 4x4. I've had zero problems so far and I've put 30,000 miles on it. I'm at 85,000 miles. Still runs like the day I bought it. I'll recommend a Jeep to anyone. I plan on keeping the ford until 150,000. So far everything is great.

Not surprised by Chrysler vehicles. They are all junk. Jeep transmissions are the reason auto shops stay in business.

I can believe this.

I added some things to my Jeep and was shocked at how some of it was put together.

I find it hard to believe Chevy is not on there. Their trucks are good but their cars are garbage.

Had a Camry and it ended up needing a complete steering linkage replacement and misc other fixes.......my newest company vehicle is a 2012 VW Passat and it has been a fricking rock. Couldn't be more pleased.

That said, I am due for a new ride within the next year and I'm thinking hard about the new Genesis.

The Impala is the highest rated sedan on the market.

That's the problem with blanket statements. They make you look stupid.

Not sure how they come up with these lists now that so many cars share a chassis and power.

Based off how many customers go in for warranty work in a given time period. The best survey to go with is a 3 to 5 year because that's as long as most people keep their car.

Chrysler used to tout the "initial quality survey" which is worthless because it asked people in the first few months how they liked their car.... Hell you barely had time to break anything yet

The reactions I got when I told people I bought a buick were pretty funny though

All US manufactures were building crap back in the 80's and shaking that image has been a tough thing to do. Consumers are finally starting to come around to Buick and the new GMC's. There has been a huge increase in high end imports getting traded in the past two years.

I keep the truck properly maintained. There is no way the truck should need a new drive shaft.

I've had three Fords so far and never had a problem with any of them until 7 years or later.

Rather push a Ford, than drive a Toyota. Haven't pushed one yet though, knock on wood.

Ford's poor showing doesn't surprise me at all.

Volvo is the one that surprised me. Their cars from 15-20 years ago were very sturdy.

They actually scored well above average. The only domestic brands to score higher than Chevy was Cadillac and Buick. It's not just trucks propping up their score either....because the GMC brand was awarded a similar score.

Gas or diesel? Either way, I guess this is good to know. Hope the 15s are as reliable. Just bought TDI SEL (picked it up 12/24/15. Already has almost 8k miles ) and except for some minor things (safety features and slow touch screen/Bluetooth) I really like it.

Wish it came in a 6 cylinder diesel though.
