this is me jumping off the cliff at Rick's Cafe. Did it twice. Don't puss out if you go. We took a catamaran booze cruise from Sandals to here. Stayed about an hour. Negril was fun. Don't need to really travel outside the resorts for anything. Just book your tours through the resort.

Yes, if you don't want to see anything else besides the resort while you're there. But if there's something else you want to see definitely go and don't let ignorant unfounded hysteria prevent you from going.

we definitely traveled around the island, it was just with a group excursion. I wouldn't just go rent a cab just the two of us and go on our own. Way too much hassling to buy crap from locals.

Road food is the best. In the Bahamas the local vendor stands had some great food, the restaurants near the beach all catered to tourists.
In Cozumel we traveled to the other side of the island past "the mexican target" to this little cafe. They didn't even have power. Guy was bringing lobsters and fish straight out the water to the grill.
Cheap and much fresher than the tourist restaurants. I always like to rent a scooter or a car.
Only bad (really not bad) experience,was I paid 20 for ganja in Nassau and the guy gave me wadded up paper in a bag. I felt played. lol
Other than that and all the trinket peddlers it wasn't bad.
Mexico, Bahamas, Jamacia Honduras all have similar things around the tourist areas. People know that they can hustle tourist.
Hell New Orleans has a lot of people that hustle tourist, the riverfront is the worst. (Were you got dem shoes at)

We never felt in danger but it got really old having people practically demanding that we buy their shitty looking beads, tee shirts and weed every ten yards.
Then they look at you like you're a terrible human being for saying "no thanks".
Stay at the resort.

We rented a cab and I thought we were all going to die. I'm pretty sure there aren't any traffic laws there and homeboy was flying
