So a bunch of white people made a business decision and it's somehow the black guy's fault??

Yeah that's not racist or anything.

This is the current mayor of Jackson. Sad thing is, the next one will probably be worse.

That is true, but that is not the sad thing. I lived in Clinton when he was elected and the sad thing is Yarbor was the best choice available.

The state of Mississippi should take Bernie supporters and his socialist supporters on guided tours through Jackson and show them what socialism in America would look like.

It makes sense that a man who is so financially irresponsible is the Mayor of a city that can't afford to repair their horrible roads and water system.

I was in Jackson this morning and those roads are worse than New Orleans. Holy shite.

A man who took a 40 year mortgage out on a sub-100k house is responsible for a $100 million city budget.

He's so far over his head its sad. He should be impeached, not because he's corrupt or anything, he isn't fit to be mayor. Jackson elected someone that was jobless and has a degree in elementary education to run the city.

If the rumor mill is correct, within two months the city will not be able to make payroll. It is already delaying bills and has gone through its rainy day fund.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Kip Holden has done a good job running the city of BR. Jackson's current mayor is the latest in a long line of incompetent men holding that position. As someone who has lived in both cities, I can attest to the fact that, despite all of its faults, BR is a helluva lot better place to live than Jackson.

The city of Jackson is a shithole.

You can throw a rock in any direction, and hit a pothole that you could stock catfish inside of it.

The place is a democratic-run cesspool who have no idea on how to run a city. The leaders only know how to run their fat mouths.

(See Kenneth Stokes for a fine representation on how the city operates.) The guy is a dumbass, but constantly gets elected as long as he throws his electoral BBQs for his moronic constituents.

I doubt that is much of a "rumor" as it is fact. When your tax-base leaves (i.e. white people and businesses), there is no money left to pay the bills.
