That is correct. It is a Brough Superior and Lawrence was riding it when he died in his fateful accident. Around 3000 were produced and around 1000 continue to exist today. This particular one is on display at the Imperial War Museum.

Cool. and to be honest, if not for the pictures behind it, i'd have had no clue.

What's this shuttle's name?
Who made it?
Posted on 12/22/14 at 3:49 pm to Darth_Vader
It is very impressive to see it in person. A beautiful bike.

Damn...
Sorry I got to this thread late. I was going to go with "The motorcycle Steve McQueen rode in The Great Escape. But I was pretty sure that was the Nautilus and I knew it crossed under the North Pole. (No clue about the chrystanseum on the bow of Japanese warships)

I'm ruling out the Challenger and the Enterprise, looks like a mock up

That is Buran, the space shuttle built by the former Soviet Union space agency. I don't believe it ever actually flew in orbit. It now resides in a city park in Novgorod, or at least it did when I visited it several years ago.

Old Soviet space shuttle found abandoned. Don't remember the name of it.... The Buran maybe??

You're correct in that it is the Buran and it was made by the Soviets back in the 80's. However, it was actually launched into orbit once....
