Just curious.

No. Opened up yesterday with full capacity and had a nice time. No one came down and no governor tried to stop it.

Pretty sure ours is requiring it — I was out of town this weekend but from what I’m understanding they are.
I’ll be finding another church even if for a few months. Claustrophobia isn’t fun and I didn’t even realize I had it until I had to wear a mask this weekend on campus to get to my daughters dorm room.

Not required, but if you want to wear one, feel free...

We plan to accommodate approximately 150 worshippers, which is the 25% limit that is suggested in Phase 1.
A count will be kept and when the limit is reached,we will seat others in overflow areas that allow us to maintain the physical spacing our local medical advisors on the committee support.
We strongly advise elderly (65+) and those with underlying health issues to continue to worship from home via live streaming or social media. If you have fever, coughing, sore throat or any other health issues please enjoy the service from home.
Worshippers will enter through the main foyer entrance. Exit will be through the two side doors. All other entrances will be locked.Weather permitting the doors will be propped open.
We strongly encourage everyone to wear a mask, at least until you are seated and when you exit. Worshippers should bring their own mask if possible but masks as well as sanitizer will be available in the foyer.
Worshippers will be seated by ushers. Family units should stay in groups and 6’ distancing will be maintained between family units and individual worshippers. A family unit basically consists of the people who reside in the same house together.
Seating will be directed by ushers and will begin at the front of the sanctuary and be filled to the back. No “preferred” seating.
Worshippers will be seated as they arrive.Balcony seating will be used as an overflow area.Exiting will be in reverse order to prevent crowding and undue contact.
Ushers will direct the exiting process and we ask that you follow their guidance.Every other pew will be left vacant.
Worshippers will be encouraged to avoid all physical contact (no hand shaking or hugging).Once worshippers are seated,we will ask that they not leave theirseat unless it is an emergency.Bathrooms will be available but ushers will allow only one person at a time in the bathroom.
There will be no coffee stations available during phase 1.Offering receptacles will be available by the entrance and exit points.
No childcare will be provided. The sanctuary will be opened at 10:30 to allow time to appropriately seat all worshippers. There will be worship music as well as short informational videos prior to the 11:00 am service

You’re too claustrophobic for a mask snowflake?
Posted on 5/18/20 at 6:06 pm to tiger91
Yes. Fire Marshall was camped outside counting people outside of Mass at one in LC.

If that is the case.....that you have never experienced it in your life....you don’t really have claustrophobia.
And are trying to grasp at anything to justify you whining over a mask.
I am claustrophobic. And yet I wear a mask 8 hours a day and don’t whine about it.

No.
We can have up to 250 people attend each mass. We went yesterday. I wore a mask for only the third time while walking in and out of the church. I only did it to make the older people feel safe.
We did add an extra mass for only people to go who would wear a mask the whole time. God bless them, but I wouldn't be able to do it. Old fat guy in front of me had to keep taking his mask off because he was having trouble breathing.

Yes, Catholic Church in Metairie. We were going to go Sunday but opted out because we did not want to “mask up”. ??

I mean Tennessee is making Kentucky look foolish, even though everyone was complaining about how Tennessee was going to have more deaths and cases. I think Kentucky had more deaths, despite being much smaller in population. I am a drummer and I will wear a mask while playing, kind of in jest. They are encouraging but not requiring. We will be at like 33% capacity. Church starts this weekend!

My church is encouraging masks, but not requiring them. And we already have a Karen who is on Facebook saying that it is irresponsible and a death wish.
