Looks like a termite tunnel. If you break it you will see termites. I suggest calling a termite company before the swarm out of a wall.

Most likely.

Don't freak out. Many times they have not caused any major damage.

Just call an exterminator and expect to pay for a termite treatment for your house.

It's been a while since I've paid for one. Maybe $600-$800?

That's a termite tunnel. Check your interior walls for little black dots. The termites will eat through the sheet rock and fill it back in with dirt. Call an exterminator asap

100% that is a termite tunnel.

You can get the chemicals and the traps online and save a mint.

Go around your house and look for trails. Unless you have a nest inside I wouldn't think you need to fumigate, just treat and set traps and that should take care of it.

(100% of anyone who can see Formosan swarms are fools if they don't have traps in the ground around their house.

For $200 you can get what Orkin uses for $400 you can get the best stuff out there. Though honestly having a termite contract isn't a bad idea.

Exactly.

I had always heard they wouldn't eat sheetrock, but I saw them do it. They just leave the paper.

The only way to be a 100% sure is to eat one. Ants have a sweet taste and termites have a bitter taste. May have to eat a couple to get a good reading on the taste.
