Is there a such thing as a "perfect" family? Nothing is perfect so that why I am asking this.

Let's say someone goes out of their way to let everyone know they have the "perfect" marriage, their kids never do anything wrong and that they are ideal students and that their life is smooth sailing. Does that make you think that person is hiding something?

Some people try to put across that image but I've never seen a perfect family.

So pretty much the Duggars, and we all know how that turned out. No such thing as perfect family.

Don't you have a Facebook account? Most people do.

the Bartlett were ab out the closest thing i've seen to one in the west wing and even then the president and ellie didn't speak for years and she thought he didn't love her, the youngest daughter was a closet bi sexual and the oldest daughter married a cheater. Also the president lied about something pretty important.

That's like asking if an OT 10 exists. I don't think "perfect" families exist, but there are a few that are pretty damn close.

I was close with such a family in high school. They are the last people to make a point of letting you know how great their family is though. They're the kind of people who are always the first to ask how you and your family are doing.

I should have reworded this thread, but what I mean.. is that people who go out of their way to let everyone know they have a "perfect" family.

More people have claimed to see a black panther in Louisiana than seeing an OT 10.

This is America. Families don't get along anymore. Will be the eventual down fall of the West.

When I say "perfect" family, as I mentioned in the OP. It is a family in which the husband and wife has a marriage that has no problems. The kids are "ideal", they never get in trouble, they all excel in school, etc.

Yes, as long as you stop comparing yourselves to other people and realize some conflict is ok

If they worship together they're on the right path.

It is our imperfections that make us perfect

I think it's extremely unlikely that anyone who goes out of their way to let anyone know how great their family is, actually had a great family.

And I'm assuming we're talking about the functioning of the family itself, not the individual achievements of the members of the family.

I agree, plus you have people who will do anything to "keep up with the Jones'" and one way for them to do so is to appear to have "the perfect life".
