slow, every time a thread like this comes up, it makes it more painfully obvious that you need to get out more.

I don't think he's been to a major city.

I don't think New Orleans is the best city in the us, but it surely had a different feel than others. Chicago and New York are great cities but in many ways they are pretty much alike. Boston is great and I would say it has a uniqueness to it a lot like New Orleans

But there isn't anything unique about San Antonio's culture. It's just Mexican culture. You can find that in a million different cities around the country.

exactly. And its not really relatable to most americans. It's hard to embrace.

New Orleans you have food, music, and social scene. All 3 are unique to New Orleans and New Orleans only. How you can bash or even question the culture, or compare it to fricking San Antonio is beyond me.

The setup is no doubt the biggest coup. But the culture is very easy to fall in love with. Read twitter the last 7 days.

frick New York, LA, San Fran

New Orleans and Miami are where it's at. There's a reason they've hosted 20 Super Bowls

Someone once said there are 3 unique cities in the US: NYC, San Francisco and New Orleans

Miami?
Vegas?

Id also toss SF out of the list.

Miami

the biggest problem with Miami and New York when it comes to hosting these events is that the stadium is a solid ride away from the city. in new orleans, everything (pertaining to the event) is within like a 5 mile radius. makes life a lot easier.

Other great cities in the US dont have the package that New Orleans offers. It's an experience that is very, very different from every other city. That's why people outside Louisiana are amazed with the city

i thought this was the entire point of the "uniqueness" of nola culture?

and it's really easy to celebrate the culture of nola when you just dismiss every other possible culture

and there isn't one "hispanic" culture. miami is different than houston is different than san antonio is different than san diego is different than los angeles

you claim i'm ignorant and need to get out more but you have no problem lumping these cities into one ball
