The regulations that will be imposed will drive more of the offshore drilling overseas.

The regulations coming for fracking is going to drive the cost up so high that it won't be economical.

OPEC will raise production.

It won't be completely done but it will be hurt so bad that there won't be much left.

The old joke in the 80's will become true again.

I want higher gas prices which allow the oilfield to come back to life. Nothing crazy but 80/bbl would be great.

So answer me this: what type of energy is and will be used to make solar panels, wind turbines, and all that other "green" energy baw?

This is a silly argument. Because you use fossil fuels to create infrastructure for renewables doesn't mean fossil fuels aren't on the way out. Yeah they'll still be used, but they are slowly but surely going to be replaced by cleaner, renewable resources.

I work in the petroleum industry, and I'm definitely not worried about being able to have a career for the next 30 years...but in 100 years or so I see us phasing out of oil pretty hard

I'm inclined to agree

I see the coal industry right now... and that's where oil is going to be in 50 or so years... hopefully sooner.

What would you rather have? Gonorrhea or a house in Houston?

Gonorrhea. You can get rid of it.

Probably a protest vote of some sort and do my duty on the down ballot races. Gary is a loon and Jill is even crazier than Trump or Hillary.

She's a corporate democrat, wholly owned by big business. She will pander to the liberals in campaigning and throw them some bones while in office, but always remember where her money comes from.

Everyone always picks on the higher gas prices. What some people either fail to realize, or in most cases, don't want to realize, is that what's saving $10, $15, or even $20 at the fuel pump doing for you when everything else continues to rise in price? So a $30 or $40/month of savings at the fuel pump offsets the price of groceries, clothing, etc., that continues to rise? The fuel surcharges for carriers hasn't gone down to haul the goods to department stores. The price of vehicles hasn't gone down? Sure, there's a to good to be true deal that's offered every other week but there's always a catch. That's something else that can be chalked up to the liberal MSM propaganda (regarding fuel prices being cheap and saving the consumers SOOOOO much money).

I am wondering where on earth you guys are getting this type of stuff from. This is a dirty number here but break even for US onshore ranges between 40-60.

And in some cases it's a little less than that range. Land/onshore work has been on the uptick the past couple of months. We've seen it with the increase in workload (THANKFULLY!).

The liability would be no different than when a aircraft manufacturer has one of its planes malfunction, crash, and kill hundreds of people.

Hillary is much more moderate than Obama on the environment. It's way down the list for her, despite the occasional soundbites to appease her base.

Nah, 100 yr time frame does change the argument, however.
