These dudes are pretty badass yet they get no major props. I'm here to see that they get their time in the sun.

While they are certainly a branch... I place them closer to the bottom of the five.

The ones doing drug enforcement probably get more action than 90% of the armed forces.

The coast guard is awesome. I'd rather be remembered for saving people and stopping drug and human trafficking than killing a few bad guys and thousands of innocent civilians

See I would rate them higher than the Air Force. Air Force is a bunch of pansies.

I am thinking about the military when I graduate college. Looking at the air force or coast guard.

I said "near the bottom". I couldn't decide if Chair Force or CG belonged at #5

My Dad was in the Air Force, and for the most part I agree about them being weak sauce.

However, he has served all over. Vietnam, Philippines, Egypt, Cuba, etc.

My somewhat experienced opinion, go coast guard. You'll get a better experience and have cooler stories to tell. Just my serious two cents (and I don't make very many serious posts).

The CG has some pretty good looking chicks to, and for that, I appreciate them

Sitka.

Lot of the coast guard rescue shows are filmed there.

When's the last time anyone was attacked by pirates in the Gulf? Thanks Coast Guard.
