Is TD or the OT your means of staying connected to (South) LA?

For those that have moved outside of their homeland and with all the moving away threads, this got me to thinking...Is TD or the OT your way of still staying connected to a place / culture that you call home? I know it is for me.

It sounds cheesy as shite but I feel like I'd forget my roots if it weren't for this site. So props to Chicken and all the admins that keep it going.

It was recommended to me by someone when I first moved out of the country in 2009 as a way of keeping up with LSU and SEC football.

My interest in football has waned pretty considerably since (really starting after the 2011 season) but there are a few folks on here I like to mix it up with.

Yep. I try to stay away from that trashy state of Louisiana but TD gets me all I need.

Yes. Last time I went home had a conversation like this:

Family - how are you so on top of Louisiana news?

Me - I've been reading about different things.

Family - reading where?

Me - uh, the internet.
