Sling had too many tranny commercials for me.

Kidding but their commercials were consistently the wokest shite you could find. I was definitely not the target demographic

by time you get sling orange and blue with the sports package its comparable to YT TV. Sling always lagged for me, YTTV has not.

There is no difference between these streaming services and cable at this point. I'm just going to get Fubo in the fall for maximum football channels then cancel. I would use streameast but my new TV doesn't have a browser

Correct. The cable companies have jacked up the unlimited wifi so much and the streaming services have raised prices so that when you add it all up..its really not much more expensive to just get cable/wifi package. My SIL pays $145/month for unlimited wifi, pays for Hulu, Netflix, YT. At the end of it all, it's close to the same. The days of saving $150-$175/month by cutting the cord are over.

No local or networks with sling. I just switched to Youtube TV for this reason.

Depends on your market and plan and no I don't count that bullshite of "locals are available with an antenna."

Sling is fine. I pay 60 bucks a month for Orange with sec plus upgrade. Best deal around

I've liked it for sports. YoutubeTV is definitely a better product overall though

But you’re missing the part where cable companies have also jacked up the price for their TV services too. I have the gigabit internet w Cox (fiber not available by me yet), YTTV; and am still saving around $85 a month than if I went to cable and made sure I had the channels we actually watch

No, we tried it out for a month and it was a waste of money. On the surface it looks like it gives you a lot of channels but I didn't realize just how bad a lot of network television is Look into a package that gives you local channels for games on ABC, NBC, FOX.

My SIL and I compared costs and what we get. I'm paying about $30/month more than her and I get way more channels all in one clean interface. My point I'm making is that the lines are moving closer together and equilibrium will soon be reached. In 2019, cutting the cord was a no brainer. It's not as much anymore.

What the cable companies have done is raise the unlimited wifi subscription so much that it deters people from cutting the cord. They will keep doing this until they slow their customer losses.

Pluto TV is free and I never have trouble finding something entertaining to watch.

Cinema HD app to pirate the hell out of any move or TV series I want to watch because frick Hollywood.

Slide one of my buddies some cash for his ESPN log on during football season.

Rabbit Ears for locals.

Basically all I pay for is Internet

Yep, my IPTV account has 5 connections that I share between family and we split the costs. It ends up being $32/yr per person.
