I’ve been multiple times for liberty bowls and CUSA basketball tournaments, it’s definitely worthwhile over a weekend.

Raiford’s is one of the most fun bars I’ve ever been to. Must go after 10pm.

Wait till first weekend in March when the Farm and Gin show is. Safest weekend of the year in Memphis.

If you go and can afford it stay at the Peabody. A truly historic hotel and you can walk to Beale Street. Graceland is okay. Otherwise Memphis is okay. Taco Bell seems to be good there for some reason.

We did a weekend trip last summer. Definitely fun for a weekend trip.

We hit up a few breweries, Flight for dinner which was really fun, Loflin Yard, Peabody ducks, Bass Pro.

I'm about an hour and half away from Memphis, and we hardly ever go.

They do have a few BBQ joints, most notably, Rendezvous and my personal favorite, Central BBQ.

They got a decent mall over there and the Memphis Grizzly's are hosted there as well if you like Basketball or the Redbirds if you're a Baseball fan.

The zoo it's to bad and beale and graceland are always a good time.

Not much to do that I know of outside of that. I'd let Rebel chime in to this thread if he hasn't already, he lives in a suburb outside of Memphis.

Edit*** FYI, we just drove through Memphis, drive the speed limit, they got troopers posted all down I40 and I55 this week for the holidays. I didn't see any monday driving though, but there parked every 5-10 miles both sides of the road today

It’s not an ideal tourist destination but there are a few interesting things to do.

Graceland is OK if you’ve never been.
Beale St. is fun if you like live blues bands.
Mud Island is cool.
Rendezvous BBQ is overrated. Highly recommend Commissary in Germantown.
Come on down in your locomotive!

Memphis can be fun. Just make sure you’re packing heat. The culcha there is real.

Rooms at the Peabody are trash, I’ve had better rooms at the EconoLodge.
