IDK, I know someone who got a DUI because a trucker called *LSP and reported him and gave his plate number.

A cop pulled him over down the road and got him at .09

Oh well..

The boss of a friend of mine passed a possible drunk driver on the Causeway. This was before cell phones so the boss stopped to use a call box on the bridge to report it. Along came the other car and smashed into the boss' car that was stopped on the bridge and killed him. I don't know why he didn't use one of the crossovers.

Cops don't care. I once witnessed a severe hit and run - 45 mph, no brakes, into the back of a car filled with a family. Chased the runner down at over 90 mph through Slidell to a house on a dead end street. Called the cops twice while waiting over 45 minutes with them cornered. Finally gave up. The cops hadn't even arrived at the accident scene either. Told a fireman on scene the whole story - he said, "that's typical around here."
No dog involved, no care.

I asked a officer here in Shreveport about this. He said to call it in with description and direction of travel so they can get the word out. I got passed by a guy on a motorcycle on I20 doing well over 100mph and I started to call, but I knew that by the time they tried to respond, the bike would be past Minden

i did it once on I-10 when a guy almost hit my bumper and then almost ran me into a big rig and proceeded to drive on the shoulder, all because i was (already) passing a truck at 85 mph and the redneck wanted to go over 100.

talked to the cop for awhile--they seemed to be taking it seriously. no evidence they got him though.

oh, and one time in atlanta, i chased a car full of UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS all over town after seeing them run a red light and t-bone a car. someone else was attending to the victim. i went all around 285, and kept changing jurisdictions. not sure why they didn't just connect me to highway patrol. they actually pulled over and i kept my distance. stayed on the phone with the cops but they ultimately said to gtfo of course.

I call whenever I think I should.

I've called on a homeless man walking up an on ramp.

On someone going the wrong way on interstate

On people with no lights on interstate at night.

Shits dangerous, I'm not trying to get anyone arrested, but I don't want to read about someone dying as a result of these people and I didn't at least try to get it stopped

Saw someone run a car halfway off Airline Hwy this morning. Then before he took a right @ Highland...he acted like he was going to do it again. Have License Plate # and vehicle description.

You would have to swear out the affidavit and go to court. If we don't see it, we can't write the ticket. A lot of times we will respond and if you are following the driver we can get behind him and a lot of times he will commit a violation in front of us. If that happens, then we don't have to use you as a witness and you don't have to come to court. We get a lot of DUI arrest this way.

Shite, in California they're everywhere. Everyone here thinks they're an F1 racer.

Last week I almost rear ended a trailer with no functional lights. It was 6:00 pm on I-10 in BR, and I could not tell that it was stopping. I did not call the police, but I did call the company safety line as it was an electric company logo on the side of the truck. I did not want to get them fired or anything, just needed to inform them of a huge liability issue. They were appreciative and said that they would address either the malfunctioning of lights or ineptitude of the person hooking up the trailer.
