From my experience, coke is only addictive when your on it. After a weekend coke binge, you wake up feeling like shite and don't wanna see coke for a while.

Meth, i have no idea.

this is pretty much my read on it. I haven't touched YaYa in a while, mainly b.c its just too expensive. If I want to blow $200 in a weekend, there are much better ways for me to do it.

I haven't tried meth, but I take adderral and haven't really gotten hooked.

The only drug I could see getting hooked on is xanax. that shite just calls me.

I guess we could discuss the pharmacokinetics of the two, but that would be a waste of time.

should people be able to put what they want into their own body? I believe so.

So, if you over dose and need emergency medical attention, who should pay for it? If you are uninsured, should you be left to die or should society pay for your drug abuse?

I don't like xanax. If I drink on xanax, really bad things happen. If I don't think on xanax, I just pass out for about 12 hourus.

Opiates were my weakness.

Did someone really try to compare Molly to Roxys? That's hilarious.

If you can't pay for it, tough shite, off you go. That's my opinion

Good conversation. I hope nothing bad ever happens to any of you who use drugs. Good luck.

i've been off heroin and OC for 2 years. Bad things did happen, plenty of them. But you have to learn the hard way or you will never get your shite together. Tough love is the best medicine for an addict.

that said, I don't believe the government should have authority as to what humans put in their body

It's call being accountable for my actions and not putting it on someone else

I work in Criminal Justice and have seen lives destroyed every way possible from drugs. I have never been a drug user and never will be but, I understand where users come from. The problem I have is with the twisted logic that they frequently use to justify one drug and not another. They lack the insight to realize that addiction is a lifestyle more than a substance abuse issue. If you are truly in recovery then you must know that any drug use is a relapse and jeopardizes your recovery and ultimately your life.

I agree, and i was lucky to have a good support system, or I would be dead. I agree with your logic that justifying one drug use and condemning another seems hypocritical which is why I think all drugs should be legal.

I have a real problem with the government having authority over what people can put in their body.

You're equating psychological addiction to physiological addiction. The non-drug addictions are only psychological, not physiological.

Drug addiction is both. It's a whole different animal. To say it all comes down to willpower, when your body is physically addicted, is ridiculous.

You can literally DIE from withdrawal of some drugs.

Truth, but will power is the most important factor to beat addiction. Some drugs you need a certain medication or a professional detox to kick, but you are at no risk of dying from quitting heroin cold turkey.

yes and to know that you are addicted and do nothing about it comes right back to willpower.
