the OP went to Tanger Mall, I mean that isn't like it shows the class of AP. Drive down 30 one way you see strip malls and abandoned buildings, drive the other way you see plants.

I'm very curious to see what happens to the land behind Waffle House/the Hotel as it was supposed to be developed to be an upscale shopping center close to what they have on Corporate.

Gonzales is not a shite hole but it isn't great. Look at Norwood/Henderson Bayou and 933, they plan on adding 100+ more houses but they've done nothing for the roads. Especially Norwood/Henderson Bayou that can barely fit two 250's going down it.

not familiar with that area... but yeah... there are some really nice places in spots you wouldn't think or know about (the diversion canal, for instance) and then there are spots that are prime location that are run down.... hell, half of bluff rd's houses are either trailers or houses that were built in the 60's apparently.... excluding the subdivisions, of course...

Only two places I'd consider moving back to Louisiana for is Mandeville and Prarieville/Gonzales

Walk around Tanger Mall for a bit and report back.
Dumbass, most of the people there aren't from Ascension.
In fact, you'd be amazed at the shoplifters caught that are from EBR, Orleans, Iberville, St John and St James Parishes.

Please don't compare the two. WOL is doing just fine.

Pretty much the complete opposite. Lots of new residential and commercial development going on. Huge upside and tons of land yet to develop. Don't know how you'd get that read.

You have it backwards. Development is what turns a place into a shithole.

Road where Galvez Primary is on the roads that connect with it. 933 runs past Galvez Middle, and Norwood is the one that runs to 431.

That subdivision you can go straight into coming from highland to Jeffrrson used to be pretty good. Dunno what happened but I do know there was a shooting on Kindletree a few weeks ago. Crazy.

I did. Property value in white oak, lake at white oak, and the new neighborhoods on harrells ferry are all doing well. Shenandoah is suffering from aging residents not renovating their homes. Has nothing to do with st Jean. Nice try though

When was it not a cap hole?

Although I do think Gonzales is better than Prairieville

Don't you live in Bunkie? If so, hilarious that you comment about shite hole places to live.

no dumb dumb. Home appreciation is not subjective and home values in that area have done quite well in the last 20 years since St Jean was built.

It's very difficult not to see that these developments are intentionally put in areas that will suffer because of them.

It's no secret. HUD has this as policy. Any area lacking "affordable housing" is targeted for a project. HUD is worse than the IRS.

I sold a house in Shenandoah 9 months ago and did perfectly fine. Lived there 15 years and it appreciated handsomely. Southeast BR is doing just fine.
