Was going through there yesterday and it looks like it is going downhill. Anyone agree?

Pretty much the complete opposite. Lots of new residential and commercial development going on. Huge upside and tons of land yet to develop. Don't know how you'd get that read.

Yes. Central continues to improve while Ascension declines.

Found our first real estate agent/contractor.

How can you not see it will soon start trending down? Walk around Tanger Mall for a bit and report back.

Pretty sure the only trend you're worried about is the number of pages you can bleed out of this troll thread for Internet ego purposes. So have fun with that.

This, plus the other demographics can tell the story of any area. You don't have to drive through anywhere to know what it is like if you read the facts and figures.

Racist Ascension might as well let Baton Rouge build the loop now since what they feared would move there once the loop was built is already there.

I am sure the infrastructure will support more growth.

Typical south Louisiana. Develop, develop, develop. Then force the infrastructure to catch up. Not too many instances of infrastructure foresight around these parts.

New homes
Better schools
Less traffic
More outdoors
More personable
Close enough to stuff that matters

What's the question?

No we don't live there but are considering it.

I live in BR. But AP and LP are quickly sneaking up on EBRP.

A lot of that goes back to the late 90s and early 2000s when AP started growing more rapidly. Tommy Martinez lost reelection, so he used his buddy Juba Diez to make sure that no state road improvements would come to AP while his opposition was in office. The sitting president didn't run for reelection, but a challenger did. Tommy didn't win the next election, so Juba kept the spigots shut off for another 4 years. By the time Tommy got control again, Juba was gone and there was no inside connection. AP had fallen far behind other areas in priority and had virtually doubled in population due to Katrina.

Basically, good 'ol boy politics to try not to let a rival look good screwed AP out of getting virtually any state highway improvements for nearly 12 straight years at a time when the population was exploding.
