Every woman I know who goes there is either a two or three time divorcee or a huge slut. I honestly don't think I know any guys who go.

OTs favorite pastimes - Hating on HPC and hating on New Orleans.
Pastor Mike is good people. He doesn't hide the fact that his church is for people who sin but want to change their life.
The problem with this board, is they think that people who go to church are supposed to be squeaky clean, which goes against Jesus' main goal, which was to help people full of sin.

Well, just from personal experience, the people I know who go there do it for the Facebook likes then go hop on the first dick they find that night at Reggies or some other shitty bar.

Dollar to a dime they'd be the church not housing refugees if a hurricane hit BR. They're the Lakewood of Baton Rouge. You're an idiot if you attend a prosperity gospel/doctrine church.
HPC helped 100s during the August flooding. They have programs that cook breakfast for the homeless a few times a week. They send out buses to pick up the homeless, bring them to the church and feed them and then have a service.
But don't let facts stand in the way of you trying to impress the OT.

I know quite a few college aged chicks who go there. The purity rings aren't fake. It's pretty frustrating sometimes.

People on this board are just so damn stupid. The exact things they list of the type of people that go there are the exact type of people that Jesus reached out to and that churches in general, try to help.
I don't understand why this board can't understand churches are meant for people who sin. Sure, they have people there who are just there to be there, but that's almost every church.

Do you know this for a fact? Is his name still on the deed of the property? As far as I know he moved to Birmingham, AL and got on with another big Church. His in-laws (founding members) are still with HPC though.

HPC is definitely a haven for recovering addicts. That's pretty cool they are welcoming to all walks of life.
